I think that it would be a great option for students if they could choose to take an additional (or one less) year of high school. I believe that there are many students who are not benefiting from a senior year of high school, and should be moving on to college or work after just three high school years. At the same time, I think that there are some students who could use an additional year of public high school. Those who would benefit from another year may need to furthur their education in college prep classes, or just aren't ready to move on to the next level.
I can say that had it been an option for me, I would have chose one additional year of high school. As this was not an option for me, I went to a nearby school, which turned out to be a bad decision. I did not like the campus, the program, the people, there was very little I liked about the school, but I chose it because of its proximity. I wasn't ready to leave high school.
At the same time, I have at least one friend who would have benefited from only three years of high school. She could have been beginning gen.ed. courses in college but instead was taking pointless electives, just for the credits.

Actualy, some kids (I think ages 16+) can attend college (but they have to still be in highschool I think). I don't think the extra year is a good idea, it would take too much tax money. Is your college hard? Mine is as easy as highschool

Mine is easier than high school, a lot of my wanting another year is atmosphere type stuff in addition to the high school education.
As far as the taxes are concerned it would balance out if the kids who are in dual enrollment (HS and college) are just in college and not in high school.
