There seems to be more and more news today about adult women sleeping with young 13 and 14 year old boys. I’m sure some of you heard about the woman who was recently released from jail for having sex with a 13 or 14 year old, and soon after she got out she sent him provocative videos made on her cell phone. There is something about the older woman-young boy statutory rape cases that is intriguing.
First of all, most of the women in these “relationships” claim that they were a couple in love. Why is it that the women say they are in love as opposed to the men who sleep with young girls who do it probably mainly for sex? Also, if the situation involved a man sleeping with a 14 year old girl, people would be quick to be so disgusted and say “That man is a rapist.” But when it involves an older woman, people say “She slept with a young boy;” or “He was molested.” People also look into the emotional and psychological reasons why the woman regressed to sleeping with young boys.
You see, people attribute a man’s relationship with girls to him being sick or being a rapist. But a woman’s relationship with a boy is attributed to some deep emotional problems, like something that happened in her childhood. It seems like a double standard to me. Regardless of whether or not the sex between them was consensual, it is rape because the other person is merely a child. Everyone should be punished for this crime.

Well in all fairness, she was punnished. And those who get caught doing things like this are, in fact they have to become regestered sex offenders. I think that haveing to list where you live and stuff on the site so that everyone knows what you have done is punnishment enough.
True, but they would not have to be in that position if they did not rape children. I think they should have to become registered sex offenders. I would definitely want to be informed if I had a registered pedophile living next door to me.
