A rekindled faith
one that's been lost
for years and years
cry for the victory of what you think is right
cry for the reasons no one wishes
dont be bothered by others
a standing alone
on the mountain that's black.
in the mountains i see more than my share of wonder.
is there anymore i have to say?
i wish i could feel like this all the time.
but it's become corrupt in so many ways .
its corrupt by overseers who think themselves righteous.
but who am i to judge?
i want to see you.
i do. i promise.
but only for what i know is true.
do not reconcile with my heart
if i am not on the right side.
i do know right from wrong however.
i do. and i know where to find you...
even when i dont visit.
i feel a renewed spirit at the moment
one that i havent felt in i cant say how long.
maybe since high school...
maybe there is hope in the church after all.
as long as we remember why we're here.
to worship, praise, and be thankful.
not to put on a show...not to show off what we can do...
we are all given skills and talents.
but how do you use them?
why do you use them?
are you in?
and why are you in?
that's what i want to know.

I'm not quite sure who "BPJ" is exactly, but he pretty much just concreted my theories on religion and the pyschology of it.
The desire to believe can reach the point of desperation. Desperation causes us to do things out of character; to alter our state of mind and push our limits.
It is not desire, but the line far beyond the desire that causes men to see and talk to God. Desire is simply the first step.
Christians will tell you that you must pray in faith with a belief that you will recieve answers to your questions. This intense desire can cause anyone to believe what they want to hear. This can cause people to convince themselves of almost anything.
I'm not here to bash your religion because I don't know and no one does. But this is how I feel and if you could give me an answer to some of my questions I'd really appreciate it, because so far no one has. And I just can't seem to "Trust in the Lord thy God with all thine heart and lean not unto thine own understanding."
My answer to you is, search inside yourself. God is all and all is one. The good & the bad. We have to find ways to use our intellect and our hearts. I believe you will find the light when you truly find yourself. Then your actions towards the human family will give you the answer you've been waiting for. Creator or creation will reveal itself to you once you love you.
