Hazing has been a major issue among fraternities, sororities, sports teams, and organizations for a long time. It has remained to be a "low key" issue because it causes victims to be ashamed and not want to talk about the hazing that has taken place. In my opinion, hazing of any type should be banned and should not be used as a qualification of induction. Many times hazing may begin as a joke or for fun, but it usually gets out of hand. People get hurt, sometimes physically and emotionally. Why cause this unnecessary pain and suffering? Any organization that involves hazing is not worth being in to begin with!!!
What are your opinions??????????????

In the past 20 years or so, frats and sororities became horrible hazing places. Though recently they have taken a dramatic turn. They now are more focused on academics. In order to stay in one, you have to make the grades. I konw this because I am a high school senior who has friends in frats, and have talked to people in frats. The iniation ceremonies aren't really hazing anymore. They are just simple things to get in. But you have to have determination in order to get in. So really anymore, frats have gone soft.
My middle school expected all incoming freshmen to be hazed. But it was all done in good fun and nothing like the stuff I've been hearing about. Maybe all schools should come up with some "hazing codes" (you know, like "dress codes").
