As a proud New Yorker, I can't say I'm anything but ashamed. Our headlines are covered with heartbreaking pictures of the tears in Mrs. Spitzer's eyes as her husband attends a press conference concerning his alleged, and at this point it seems more than that, involvement as a "client" of a high-end prostitution ring.
Congratulations, Spitzer. The governor we thought would finally end New York's trends of corruption turned out to be just another player in the game. It's sickening, absolutely sickening.
What does this mean for New York? As a state who had a hard time finding someone new to place their trust in, we're like the child who never got past the abuse. Spitzer created a strong bond of trust and an energy among New Yorkers that has been lacking for generations. We didn't think he was like all the rest. But now young and old alike are faced with the harsh reality that their leader is nothing other than a perverted embarrassment.
The keywords these days are 'hope' and 'change', but how can we achieve those when we can't trust the very leaders that are expected to bring that about?

Rudy should run for governor of New York!
Problem with Rudy is so many new yorkers, particularly outside of nyc, despise him and think he'd be just as bad! he'd never win...
Peace and blessings,
