hey 80's! Why Seatbelts?

I talk to myself. It's just something I do. I talk to myself quite often as a matter of fact. I find it difficult to find people to talk to on the way home from school, or walking through the halls near people how usually hate me, or are just really dumb. So I talk to myself. We always agree.

So today on the way home, we got to talking about this sign that the police officers were putting up yesterday, mostly because it wasn't there anymore. It was a seatbelt check sign they had started putting up. Myself and I got to thinking about how strangely we position ourselves. What if the officer thought I'd just put my seatbelt on and was lying to him?

Then I, not the both of us, got to thinking about how dumb school buses are. Why don't they have seatbelts? Does it not matter if little kids die? I realized, then, what my mom had told me about about it being possible that more people were killed by injuries from seatbelts than from lack of wearing them. She told me this lady at her work's son ( or something of that relation) was killed because a car hit his and he was wearing his seatbelt. Had he not been wearing it, he may have been thrown from the car, but lived. Because he was, when the car flipped, he was stuck in it and crushed basically. He died from his seatbelt.

Are seatbelts more of a danger than a safety? OR are they a safety measure with flaws?

I've heard a fireman say that they never unbuckled a dead person. I think it's important that everyone wear seatbelts - have you ever seen a video of a person thrown from their car in an accident? It's not pretty.

I think it is a safety measure, not a surefire prevention method. I have heard that more people live because they were buckled in than die because they were.

Ok, if you dont wear your safety belt then your increases your risk of getting killed....i dont think theres any flaws with it..yeah u hear sometimes about how the seat belt cuts someone but maybe 1 in 1000000 times...it they are anything they are a safety item.....
