My "plan" for Iraq

Whatever you're opinion on Iraq, its very important that we all get involved. So what I've done is come up with a plan or an idea about what we should do.
To Make it Short:
Get OUT!
To Make it Long:
I think we should do what British troops are doing right now: that is slowly withdrawing a certain area or city all the while letting Iraqi troops take over the parts that are vacated, by American troops, doing this would help us move a little faster than what we are doing right now (just staying there and hoping to God the Iraqi troops will get off their asses and take control instead of forcing us to do it) However I do not believe that a total pull out all at once would be benefitial for the region. Also to prevent Iraq's neighbors from taking over we would protect Iraq's borders as well as maintain 3 bases in Iraq, 1 in the North, 1 in the south and 1 in Baghdad, then at least we would still have some influence there. People need to wake up and smell the blood on Iraqi streets. What we are doing right now isn't helping. THINGS NEED TO CHANGE!!!!

The fact is whatever we are going to do, is going to take a while to accomplish. If we can pull out in a phased withdraw, and leave Iraq with a secure government, that would be great. But this might be hard. Due to the fact there has always been war in that part of the world since the beginning of time.

Well we need to face the facts: whatever we do in Iraq there will always be a negative side to it. there is no "good" solution, only bad and worse.
we're doing what you suggest. We've largely moved from being in charge of security to being in a training and support role.
We still do alot of fighting, but so does the Iraqi army and police.
Leaving before they are ready to stand on their own is a HORRIBLE thing to do. No matter your opinion on the War in Iraq, to leave now would be to give a weakened Iraqi government over to Iran (and they have PROMISED to take over if we leave). As it is, Iran is sending alot of manpower and weapons to those we are fighting, in hopes of making us leave.
We've already made the decision to leave as we are able, and as Iraq can defend itself.
To leave before THEY are ready to defend themselves not only crushes all of the work that we've done, but will also send a signal that we WON'T stay the course, and we'll not receive any help in the future.
I'm not proposing we leave them high and dry and btw that IS NOT what we are doing we are bogged down in iraq wasting our money and we have no plans for withdrawal. I suggest you do a little more research.

Maybe you should read up before you spout nonsense about what we are or are not doing. DEFINATELY be more read than someone disagreeing with you.
I read an interesting idea recently.... Basically, it was a suggestion that we segregate the regions by ethnicity, like was done in Bosnia 13 years ago, with some sort of "truce city" where people could meet and discuss issues (like Bosnia's Brčko District). It would probably have to be a voluntary operation, with incentives, in order to work out without substantial bloodshed. What do you think of this?
I agree, we need to get out, but it isn't really that simple anymore. If we leave the country open to anarchists, it will come back to haunt us in 20 years. The children raised in a warfare zone will be trained to hate the US for destabilizing the area and then ceasing to protect them.

So u are sugesting splitting up Iraq based on secularism. I think that's a good idea but I don't think WE should decide what Iraq does with its own people and who knows maybe those people wil go to war with eachother, and did you ever take into consideration that maybe SOME people in Iraq would like Iraq to be one instead of divided, JUST SOMETHING TO THINK ABOUT i'm not disagreeing with you, it could actually work.
