I Just Read....

I just read FlirtsWithDisaster's blog titled "THAT Girl". Here's the link..... http://www.progressiveu.org/213211-girl ""

In her blog she says:

"So I've discovered that I'm becoming that girl. You know, the one who:
- Is impatient after about five seconds
- Would rather lay out in the sun all day than do anything productive
- Can quote every line from a nonsensical movies
- May occasionally outswear any sailor given the current situation
- Constantly claims that she's fat, just so she can be reassured that she's really not
- Chews her fingernails like she's going out of style
- Dances around in her room when she thinks no one is watching
- Thinks she will never find love
- Makes fun of everyone, no matter who they are or what they think
- Cries during movies that shouldn't be sad (Artificial Intelligence? Come on now)
- Prides herself on discovering new music
- Paints her nails black because it's "en vogue"

Well, I am a lot of these things. I get impatient easily, can quote every line from a movie, could probably outswear any sailor, dance around my room, and I make fun of just about everyone. But I also realized that there are a few more things I could think of about "that girl"

-When she finds love, she holds on with everything she is.
-When something is said about her, she will go straight to the source.
-Even if you tell her that she's beautiful, she will still argue with you about it.
-She has been hurt so many times that she starts to think every guy will do the same.
-She learns she won't be best friends with the same person as she was in kindergarden.
-She prefers to do things alone because she needs to prove herself to you and herself.
-There are things she wishes she could say, but can't find the right words or the right time.
-There is a guy she wishes would make the first move cause she's scared.
-After having a boyfriend for a long period of time, she feels she NEEDS to have a guy.
-OR She is the independant girl who thinks she doesn't need a guy...ever.

And I am guilty of being one or more of these things at one point or another in my life.

Hi there. While you do have an interesting topic, it's generally considered poor taste to take part of another person's blog and add onto it, when as much could be done by simply adding a comment to that blog. Now, if your blog went in a totally different direction. Say, instead of a list, you complained about how feminists are trying something or another and it's not working... something only narrowly related to the topic at hand, it'd be acceptable to start a different discussion on it.

Just so you know. Keep on blogging :)
