Why do girls get surprised?

When girls start having sex at young as 13 , they are teenagers so they have an idea of what they are doing. So I don't understand why they would be surprised. If they were not havig sex and they became pregnant of course they would have every reason to be surprised. That's not the case though. They know exactly what they are doing and shouldn't be surprised or shocked when they become pregnant. If you don't want to become pregnant while you are in your teens or when you are not ready abstain from sexual intercourse. It's as simple as that. But will they abstain? No.Why?Partially because of peer pressure. If there are bad "friends" that are encouraging girls to indulge in sex at an early age they should know that they have to be careful of the crowd they are involved in and choose a group of caring friends because those are the friends that will help them abstain. Those friends won't force their friend to do something that she doesn't want to because she is not ready and knows about the serious consequences.I have a group of really good friends who advice me to wait for the right time .They would never force me to start having sex if I am not ready because they care about me and support the decisions I make. However if they told me otherwise I would distance myself from them.So to all the girls who want to start having sex at an early aage be careful.Think about what you are doing. You don't indulge in sex at an early age you won't have to worry about teen pregnancy.

Your blog is very hard to read. I would suggest, perhaps, another paragraph break (which would be better if you put a line in between the paragraphs). Also, it's traditional to put a space after periods.

What Jsaj said about the formatting.

Secondly, teens sometimes don't get the education they need. By 11, all I knew about sex was... well, nothing. I knew about my period, but not about sex, really. At least, not in the sense of 'tab A goes into slot B, and that makes a baby!' By the time I was 13, I had a better grasp on it, as I was actually hitting puberty and stuff, but my sex education didn't really happen until I was in high school. That was when it got comprehensive, and we learned how it happened, how coitus interuptus doesn't work, how condoms are only somewhat effective (and the effectiveness drops drastically if it isn't used properly, and that it's better to have two forms of birth control if you do decide to have sex.

So, I don't think that by 13, most teens really know the consequences of their actions, and I highly doubt anyone younger than that would have a real good grasp of it either.

I know, I know. Nick has drafted me for Choice Picks, but I'm still getting used to college. (I just started this semester)
