That's right folks, today's Obama vs. Hillary debate is at Cleveland State University, and from my vantage point the setup is going well, however I have a few complaints-
Complaint #1: This certainly is a wonderful chance for the university to get some national ~ and international~ attention, that is understood. However. My classes for today were canceled because this debate, in all it's glory, apparently is reason for my tuition money to go unnoticed. I pay for classes, I expect to attend them. Now, most students would jump at the chance for a break from class, allow me to explain. If it is permissible for the cancellation of classes to to a large public assembly on campus, why not cancel classes for the next Cavs game? I object, in principle to the practice. Now you may say this debate is more important than, say, a basketball game. Agreed, however- most university classes are during the day, why not just cancel evening classes?
Complaint #2: The good student I am, I came to school anyhow, worked at my on campus job this morning and locked myself in the silent study cubes in the library for the afternoon. Now, this was all fine and grand except for the difficulty navigating on campus. Indeed, the supporters were out with their signs and their insistant chants of "Vote for {insert favorite candidate here}!!" This too was good and expected, what was UNEXPECTED was (1) being followed down the street by a band of Hillary supporters with a banner, who all the time yelled "Who are you voting for?!" Just to irk them, I said that Dennis had my vote, that I would write him in. and (2) being disturbed from my Genetics homework by shouts for Hillary, apparenty by revelers, not paid campaign staff, on the silent (SILENT!) study floor.
This being said, I'm looking forward to the debate tonight!
Any comments/critiques/etc would be appreciated!

Wow! I would think that being in the mist of it all would be exciting, but I can see how it is annoying too. Supporters should lay off and realize that doing that isn't going to gain anyone's votes. I can't wait to hear the debate tonight and hopefully everyone's opinions on the blogs tomorrow!
