Being Gay has to Be Hard

I am a person that does not stereotype homosexuals because i happen to be very close to many of them. Now what i dont understand is why people talk about them so much. For example,i witnessed a student become accused of being homosexual, then as the process sustained the child was teased everyday for the same reason because a simple crowd of people made a decision to state some information which they were not education on. In result this student made a very bad decision that put himself and the crowd in jeapordy of graduating. When a homosexual male walks the street he gets all the attention, and the most critisicm. When normal humans display behavior like this more people of homosexuality are forced to barry their secrets deeper into the closets. Just as these people barry their secrets, some try to continue their everyday relationships with fe/males. Now we have observed the oriantation of bisexual in the process. Homosexuals are jus like regular people who just so happen to make a choice that we didnt. Does that give any right for any person to judge them. Especially when we all have problems of our own, that were trying to surpass. An average of 30 percent of the student populations are homosexual in the school but dont impose on bringing their business out to the rest of the population, only 5 percent of which are completely comfortablenwith the school knowing their business, why should we stereotype these people to where they are forced to tell a lie their whole lives?

Your post is slightly hard to read, try organizing your thoughts a bit more before you post.
Your statistics are a bit unbelievable, when you are going to make claims like the ones you have presented you should back them up with references or links.
Also at the bottom of the screen there are little tips about posting on Progressive, and one said something like "Is your post different or are there many more just like it?"

Hi -
Thank you for posting this, however there is one quote from you that made me stop in my tracks and I needed to say my piece:
"Homosexuals are jus like regular people who just so happen to make a choice that we didnt."

I feel a VERY reliable source as I'm a lesbian, am active in the gay community, and am focusing my studies on lesbian literature. So it is with confidence that I say very few people (very few) CHOOSE to be gay. As for me, this was never anything I made a conscious CHOICE about. I didn't wake up one day and say, "oh, I'm going to be with women because I think it would be an advatageous lifestyle where I can be denied over 1000 rights in the union of marriage, and have others continually question me and put me in some "other" category." No, the only choice that I really had was, after years of denying it to myself, years of fighting the attraction and feelings to members of the same sex, years of not wanting to acknowledge it, was to come out to myself and then come out to others. That was my only choice, and the only CHOICE of many others.

I really hope you don't feel like I'm angry or attacking you personally. I'm not trying to, I realize you can't tell the intonation I'm intending to use, so I apologize if you're upset by this comment. I just wanted to let my point be heard that this isn't a choice for so many, we're born this way. And for the record, if it were a choice I don't know if I would pick this lifestyle, but now that I'm in it, there's no way I'd want out.

Thank you for listening -
Liz

Yeah, you should try to organize your thoughts more into sections. You make a good point though that we should not judge people on their orientation. Maybe you should mention peoples rights to marry and how that freedom is denied in certain states.

tHNK U, NOW DAS REAL ENGLISH 101 FOR YOU..>>> LOL

I passed English 101 with flying colors for your information. I think you are trying to say that I am wordy, but I get that quite often.
