Welcome to my very first blog on Progressive.com. I would like to start it of by getting people's input for the upcoming election. I personally intend to vote for Obama because he has promised to fight against incentives given to companies for outsourcing, a personal hot button for me. He has also promised to attack the influence that special interest groups have in Washington. I am also voting against McCain because I am voting against the Pharmaceutical companies and Oil companies who are backing McCain and who had backed Bush.
One of my issues is with the oil tycoons. The Bush family happens to be in the oil business. The special interest groups who were and are backing Bush are now backing McCain. I just perused and article saying McCain is offering a $300 million dollar prize for a better auto battery to reduce America’s dependence on oil? What a slap in the face to intelligent people!

Here is a link to the Google search for alcohol carburetor technology, a concept that has existed for decades, which can not be sold commercially because the patents have been bought up by companies in the oil industry.

Obama wants to get us out of Iraq. McCain wants not only to stay in Iraq, but pick a fight with Iran. That's all I need to know.
