This morning as I was getting ready, I was listening to the radio. The talk show host mentioned something about an elected official blaming the current high fuel prices on the Democratic party refusing to allow homeland oil drilling and refineries during the Clinton adminstration. He said that if we would have created more refineries then we would have more oil now. This made me so angry! Why would government officials even be thinking of trying to get more oil? Can't they see that all the fossil fuels our country is using is rapidly ruining our planet? Looking for more oil is not the solution. It solves the problem for a short time, but in the end it just causes more polution and leads to an even greater need for gas. Our government should be focused on finding alternative fuel sources like hydrogen, solar power or corn fuel. If things continue on the same path, it won't be long until people are paying $8 for a gallon of gas along with even more environmental problems.
