My Intro-Background/Political Beliefs

Hi everyone. I'm a 18 year old high school graduate out of Mukwonago, Wisconsin. Its a really small town that no one ever comes to because it's so boring, but I'm on my way out. Next year I will be attending the University of Wisconsin-Madison to major in Nuclear Engineering and Spanish. I am into politics, reading, hispanic cultural studies and other stuff like that. In my first blog, I want to lay out my belief system for anyone that would read my blog in the future.

First of all, I am an independent. I have a lot of Republican beliefs about how government should be minimilisic at the national level and similar ideas like that, but I also believe that the government should not introduce itself into conflict with other countries based solely on the fact that our President's Dad had an attempt made on his life by that country some odd years ago.

In the 2008 election, I am a proud Barack supporter. I will look past some of his poor ideas because he will unite this country and get us out of a war that would cost the country $550 Billion during the next presidency of a Republican. I also, being a future nuclear engineer, support his alternative energy standpoint because it will be a first step in getting this country off of oil and getting the world safer for future generations. Before the preceding months, I said that I would vote for Hillary had she gain the nomination. However, because of her dirty politician tactics and her belief in the rule that no one except for a Clinton can bend rules, I have changed that standpoint. If she is on the ticket against McCain, I will vote for a 3rd party. I don't know which is the better of two evils: a war monger or a dirty politician. Hopefully, we don't have to deal with that question.

In the future, I plan to write blogs in response to news events I see on CNN, read in Newsweek or just hear about. I will be writing at least once a day (hopefully) and hope to hear from readers of this blog. Please help me out and review as much as possible.

I just noticed that you posted a few blogs fairly close together. That's something they discourage on this site because people don't really take kindly to it. It makes it seem like you don't devote much time or thought to your posts and that's why you can knock them out a few at a time. Your blogs are actually well-organized and well-written, but still you might want to take that into consideration.

Yeah, I have been doing a lot lately. I am going for a scholarship on here, so I figure I can write on a large amount of topics, and people can choose what they want and don't want to read until the scholarship period is done. Then I will slow down (a lot) and focus on longer, more in depth blogs. If you think that my blogs are still doing well, I will continue, but be honest whenever you see me write a bad one or lose focus and such. Thanks.

You are pretty intelligent for an 18 year old. I thought you were older. * sticks tongue out* I am older than you. I am 20. I will be 21 in Nov. Congrats on your graduation, I hope yours was better than what I went through 2 months after I graduated. So happy to have met someone who is not just another stuck up teenager.
