The Haze

The political and cultural scene in America has put a haze over the eyes of the people.
We the people have become slaves to the ways
of conditioning.
the political scene maintains ideals of the founding fathers while their actions dont represent the sentiment of the people: no taxation without representation.
i say this cause if so many oppose war, yet we steadily dump tax money into the war along with other government funded projects which are not necessarily to the benefit of the people: the actions of the government do not represent the people.
Concerning the culture in America, the freedom of speech ideal has led to a lack of moral responsibility. truthfully this lack of responsibility can be attributed to the observations of the leaders of the country, if the leaders are not held to high values then, why would the people hold themselves to a high value system.
the culture of america has turned into one of observation compared to action.
in times of slavery and segregation, action was necessary to end the oppression, however since oppression has become covert and hidden people have become satisfied with the position they are in.
the culture of observation is seen in the type of popular media.
the new affinity for Real television, has led to people living their life through other peoples lives. the adoration of stars and new forms of technology has led to solitary living, in which individuals are not directly involved with their community because they are focused and connected to realities in a distance.
the problem of America is a Shared responsibility because the country was built by a people tired of being told what to do, especially when what they are told is not to their benefit, it is actually detrimential to their existence. So in order to make a change it wil take a people who is ready to act rather than observe.
power to the people.
