Helping Others....

How many times have you heard someone ask for help?
Probably as many or more than I have. Well to help make a better world for ourselves and others why couldn't we start by helping others. There are so many people out there in need of one thing or another. Weather it be food, clothes, a home or even things such as love, care, and affection. If each one of us could just take time out of our "busy" lives to help someone this world would be such a better place to live in.

At church there are older ladies in the congregation I am sure...if someone would just walk up to them, give them a hug or shake their hand it would mean so much to these wonderful women who have been here on this earth for so long. Even if you were to tell them they looked beautiful that day, you have no idea how much of difference it makes in their day. And you have to mean it, say it with a smile on your face and love in your heart.

At home there is so much that has to be done. If you are like me there is at least four people in your household and bills to pay and food to be bought. Just give what you can. Weather it be money or time spent helping out around the house it means so much more when you do it.

At school there is also work to be done. Say you see a person needing help in a school subject, just talk to them and see if you can help them in any way. If you can not personally help them see if you can find someone who can. If one of your friends or someone you know is having a hard time at home and you can tell or have been able to tell in the past see if you can help them. Be there for them. Sometimes it might take more or you than you realize, but just be there for them. You will never know how much that little gesture means to someone who thinks that they do not deserve to live, or they think that dying would be better for them and everybody who knows them. God has put you there for a reason, see if you can figure it out by helping this person and being yourself and helping them.

Just listen to your heart when it tells you to do something. Helping someone can give you the greatest feeling in the world. Just knowing that you have made a difference in another human beings life can give you the utmost humbleness in the world.

1st Corinthians- 13:4-7
" Love is patient, love is kind.
It does not envy, it does not boast,
it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not
self-seeking, it is not easily angered,
it keeps no record of wrongs.
Love does not delight in evil but
rejoices with the truth.
It always protects,
always trusts,
always hopes,
always perservers."

Nice post,

To see a world in a grain of sand
And a heaven in a wild flower,
Hold infinity in the palm of your hand
And eternity in an hour.
