A donkey will sink in quicksand but a mule won't!!!

I heard something a while a go that caught my attention. A donkey will sink in quick sand and a mule won't! What? What makes a mule so special? Well I looked all over and this is what i found:

First off, there is no such thing as quicksand. When you think of quicksand you think of a whirlpool of sand pulling somebody down in the middle of the jungle. Actually there have only been a few quicksand findings and the quicksand is less than a foot deep. It is just a hole that is filled with sand that if you fall (or step) in it then it's just hard to pull your leg out. It's like a pool. There's more friction to get your leg out of water.

Next, everything would sink into the quicksand. There is no way that your leg won't go into the sand as deep as it can. No animal can float on top of the sand. Even a bird will cause the sand to shift and fall in. The struggle the animal causes, makes it sink. So maybe mules are just more sensible than donkeys.

So if you every hear that a mule won't sink in quicksand but a donkey will, it's not true. Mules and donkeys will sink in quicksand. So next time you are deciding to go in the middle of a jungle and you're deciding whether to bring your mule or your donkey, doesn't matter, just avoid the quicksand.

Where is the quicksand that IS in existence? I've always been curious about where one would even find quicksand...
