When i came into my senior year i knew that some certain things would be required of me, for example senior project. Last year the Seniors where given the last period in the day to work on their projects which consisted of , A research paper, 30 hrs of community service and an oral report which they had a year to complete. This year we are given the same assignments but with way less time , my written report is due in 2 weeks then i must complete my 20 of field work and then i have to do my oral report. They claim that this will be easier on us , IT'S NOT . My classmates and myself proposed a truce that we move the deadline of the paper until after our fieldwork , therefore giving us more to talk about in our paper . Of course this request was denied. While the teachers keep claiming that we are in college and that we need to "step up" they are not really treating us as such, in other aspects. This class is causing my class mate and my self to stress out , because while our schedules allow for the last period every other day to be used to work on this project our advisers keep taking it away to give us college information that is not at all useful because we have already recived it in the mail. Which leaves us trying to complete things after our regular homework by their dead lines at 11pm and trying to stay awake in school the next day, which is leaving all of us sleep deprived. WE NEED HELP!!!

I would have to agree with the teachers. It's normal in college to have 1-2 weeks to complete a paper on top of other work and activities (not to mention a social life). For my senior project, they gave us the whole year to work on it, and it wasn't due until shortly before graduation. I don't think it helped any of us in any realistic sense, and everyone procrastinated anyway. It shouldn't be too bad to have 2 weeks, and it will help you work on your time management skills. I know I never even had time to do mine in school, so if they're giving you any time, you should be grateful. Also, if 11 PM is "late", you may have a problem in college. Most people I know stay up until about 3 or 4.
