Low cost funerals are growing because of people and pet cremations. With all Urnist I have to say that pet & people cremations are happening more these day with less funeral cost. This is due to our mobile society. Some people scatter the ashes. Someone told me of a real "splash" Funeral. I was told of the ashes being scattered in the family swimming pool and the kids being told to go swimming with Grandma or Grandpa.

It costs much less to put "Grandpa or Grandma" in an urn rather than in the ground.
This is true of your favorite pet as well. Once upon a time long ago there were only backyard funerals for people. Not too long ago there was only backyard funerals for pets.

Once upon a time a Doggie or Meow was lowered into the ground in a cardboard box
Sometimes your pets final "rest in peace" place would be marked with a stone or a cross made of two large sticks, The owner of the pet who had had provided years of comfort and companionship could remember the good times together with a simple look at the
backyard memorial..

But today's mobile culture we don't live in the same place for long, and digging up the remains of dead pets(or relatives) does not have appeal . With some folks willing to do just about anything for their pets, nowadays there's a growing market for cremation services in death of pets.

Today after pets are put down pet owners can request that their pet's ashes be returned to them in an urn. They can just be placed on a shelf in the house or the garage. The Urn can be easily buried and dug up again if you happen to move.

This comes from the experience of Rest in Peace, Your Funeral guy, R.Brian Burkhardt,.
