Progress is a noun defined by [www.dictionary.com] as a movement toward a goal or to a further or higher stage. So in today's American world what is progress really... There are always the BIG steps that we consider progress...like stepping on the moon for example. That was definitely achieving a goal or moving to a higher stage. But what do we as the youth of America have to do with that at all?
As teenagers we can’t really be worrying about all of the news making “progress” because lets face it, until the day we turn 18 there isn’t much of a chance that anybody from CNN wants to talk to us about anything or even hear our opinion for the most part.
I think that we should focus on what we can do in our communities. Because helping the old lady down the street pick up the sticks in her yard, or weed her flower beds is just as much progress as anything else. Helping out with little jobs in your house and your community moves you to a higher stage as a person. So therefore it is just as much “progress” as landing on the moon.
So to everybody that is reading this: Get out there. Use this as your inspiration. Go help someone with something. Say hello to someone that looks lonely. MAKE SOME PROGRESS at becoming a better person.
What is progress anyway...

-I completely agree with your point about how the little things make a huge difference. Little things eventually add up to big things and therefore SOMETHING progressive has to come out of it. Great job.
