In Response to the Slumping Community

Your story is one that is very difficult to hear, because there have been failures on so many different levels. Developers greedily building with little or no thought to population demographics and consequences, lack of jobs and or motivation to find work leading to poverty stricken neighborhoods, parents failing to instill positive attitudes and morals in young people, an understandably anger community turning its back to problems...the list goes on and on, and your small community is likely not the first or the last. The issues in your town are the same that grip the nation as a whole. Developers must be stopped so that neighborhoods and communities are structured in a practical manner. Jobs must be created through public service opportunities that enrich pockets as well as the landscape. Children must be shown that there is options outside of drugs, and this begins with education for them as well as there parents. And lastly, our communities must understand that sacrifice will be essential in the uphill battle we have in correcting the ills of the past and marching forward to a better tomorrow. Lets all stand together and change this nation. Lets provide jobs for any and everyone who wants one, Lets beautify our dilapidated community centers, Lets end poverty, Lets end class and racial tension, Lets make our nation truly the greatest on Earth. It is possible to change, and it is our generation who can be the usher.
