"hurry up and wait"
That's how I've felt recently.
Waiting waiting waiting waiting... and what are we waiting for? Waiting is either a waste of time or it's the only thing that we have to occupy our time. Or, we are waiting in the hope of something yet to come. What if we didn't have to wait? How much more could we accomplish?
New technologies have saved us time. High speed internet and pay-per-view movies are just a couple of the thousands of things out there. But what are we doing with the time that we are saving? Are we really accomplishing more? or are we wasting our time with accomplishment?
Sure, accomplishment can be satisfying, and maybe it's not a waste of time, but what does accomplishment accomplish? Does it really matter in the end how much we've done on this earth?
Questions questions questions, waiting waiting waiting, what is this "time" we are waiting for?
It has a purpose, everything under the sun has a purpose. There is a time for everything.
We are waiting for the One we desire. The One who will come back for us. We are waiting because we have hope of glory. Hope for the new things to come and the old things to pass.
Press on into the new age--it will be harder, it will be darker, it will be more intense, but all of you who believe in the returning Christ, hold on! For the time is coming when we will see the Groom.
I hardly think the point of life is waiting. Life is about enjoyment, and doing things that you like while you can. Be around people you care about. Life really loses its meaning if you're just waiting for the end...

I know that there are a lot of people out there who LOVE technology. I mean, I do too I guess since it obviously gives me the opportunity to write my blogs and this comment to you; however, it is pretty scary how much technology seems to be taking over. The power it has over humans is amazing. And in some ways, I think it actually makes things more difficult rather than easier. I work at a Law Office and my boss is always saying he wants to go back to the easy days when we didn't have to worry about the computer crashing or people not checking their E-mails. It is also scary to realize how dependent people actually are on technology.
