I LOVE Wal-mart (Wallie's World)

Why do so many people hate Wal-mart? It is a beautiful thing. They sell almost everything for less. People talk about how poorly they treat their works and give bad health insurance and so on. But it is not like that person did not know what job they were applying for. Working at Wal-mart would be kind of a boring, low paying job right? So I don't understand why people say they refuse to shop at Wal-mart. I guess that if they want to play higher prices for the same thing somewhere else they can. Wal-mart is a business and I have no idea why people think that business should be in business other than to make money the most efficient way possible.

well, it's mostly because it's one of the only ways individuals can show that they're opposed to wal-mart's unethical business practices. only letting people work 39 hours a week so that the job doesn't count as full-time and therefore doesn't let the employee have any sort of benefits is pretty shady, don't you think?

also, one of the main reasons a lot of wal-mart's products are so cheap is because they import it from sweatshop-style factories overseas where the workers are paid a lot less money. the low prices come at someone else's expense, they're not just magically lower for no reason.

i'm not saying everyone should boycott walmart...even if the job sucks, for a lot of people it's still a job and possibly one of the main sources of income...boycotting the company might make things worse for those people if it happens in large enough numbers. frankly, a lot of times it's just really convenient because you can go there and stock up on a lot of basics. however, we shouldn't just accept it if we know something's wrong within a company.

I don't shop there because they are users and abusers. I have some morals. I also don't buy great deals from people I don't know. Usually it's been ripped off someone else and therefore immoral and illegal. Most people who work there have no other choice than to bend over to kiss their ring, since they kill family businesses. They also support the breaking of our laws by hiring and supporting illegal aliens and this I can never forget. If you were a loyal American, you wouldn't forget it either. If you're not from America, GO HOME!

dont get me wrong they do have low prices and I have worked there. (NO Issues on fulltime). But they are always busy with little cashiers and the self check out seem to be closed most of the time. I would rather just go into CVS or Dollar Stores and not have to deal with the lines and attitudes you get at wally world. My son loves it and begs to go on a daily basis but I just cant handle the rudeness that I get there.

I do agree that sometimes the low prices means low quality. I've bought things for a low price and they didn't work at all. Its a shame. But I feel theres is no reason not to go there to shop for food or clothes, toys, birthday cards, candy, decorations, its a great place to shop, but sometimes you do have to watch out for low quality products.
