The Holidays

My only problem during the Holidays..... is charity events. Everywhere you look someone is ringing a bell and saying donations donations... donations... and don't these people realize that every store you go to has one of these dudes in front of every store? This guy looks at me like.... so are you going to give a donation? I just told the guy... I already gave a donation. (Which of course I didn't.)
Honestly... where do we know where this money goes? You know? Like what about these people who collect at traffic lights... intersections? My friend's.... 15 years ago worked a 5 hour shift collecting money on the street.... "donations" Well come to find out..... my own friend's father stole all the money from people giving their hard earned money away.. thinking it's going to a good cause. That's why I don't trust people who do that. I don't believe 100% of the money goes to a good cause. I know people are thinking that my friend's dad is scum for doing that.... he is... no question about it. I only donate where I officially know that force is a non-profit organization... and the money officially goes to charity.

I mean we cant trust everyone, but that doesnt mean we shouldnt give to people who are trying to collect for someone they know. I guess its just a risk we have to take. But I do feel guilty when I dont donate, even though I already did. So I just donate each time, but alway make sure its change, so that when it adds up its not that much.
