Rappers crimes.........

I was listening to 96.5 on the radio which is the local reading, pa hip hop station and they were saying how artist Akon (Aliaune Thiam) claimed to have been in jail for 4years and he stole cars and drugs and sold them to celeberties. well come to find that is was all a lie and he only got 3 years probabtion for carrying a gun a 3-6 months in jail for stealing ONE car. Theres a website that did investigations on him and found out that it was a lie about the 4 years in prison. I can't recall the name of the site because i was in the car and i just now thought to write about it. If anyone does know the site name let me know, please! Anyways, they were saying on the radio how rappers lie to build up their street credits. An i don't see anything wrong with saying untrue things in songs, but he was telling a whole bunch of people that he was in jail for 4 years.
Then, theres SnoopDogg (Clavin Broadus) who got in trouble for possesion of cocaine. Clavin was also arrested for being in a drive by shooting killing Phillip Woldermarian, however he claims it was self defense and his bodygaurd Mckinley Lee was the one who shot the gun. Snoop was put on death row and later released in 1993.
Also, DMX (Earl Simmons) was charged with animal cruelty, weapons, and posseion of drugs. He later plea-barrgined it down so he only got probabtion, fines and community service for it. He had a hard childhood his family was abusive toward him, but thats still no excuse.
So the people that most of the kids today look up to are crimnals. intresting, maybe thats why so many of the kids today are becoming involved in stupid stuff!! No offens to them but i dont think id want my kids looking up to people like that. I dont really think they should be in the public eye, in there music they promote sleeping with poeple, drugs, alcohol and violence. Don't get me wrong i do like some the the music they make,like DMX's lord give me a sign. But for the most part the music is poop!
