Tattoos are really awesome. I got mine on my 18th b-day. Ok let me put it this way. No one at my school had one. I wanted one to be different. Now everyone on the 18th birthday is going out to get a tattoo. I didn't sit with 27 needles in my back for 3 hours to be different for everyone else to go get one and then for me to be told i was following the fad. But they are doing it very different from me. I decided i wanted one in june. I researched the parlors and read matieral so i would know what to expect. This article is for anyone that is thinking about a tattoo
Alot of people don't think that getting a tattoo is safe well there has never been a case of HIV being passed by a tattoo. To know the parlor you choose is safe make sure it is a legitimite busisness. You will bleed. Everyone that went with me thought they messed up. Then other people that went thought that they had done something wrong. Be prepared tattoos are addictive. Some people like the attention, some like the adventure. You will always want more than one. Tattoos are expensive. they usally start around 80 dollars. Mine was 140. Depending where you get a tattoo is how much pain you feel. For your first tattoo i would suggest a fleshy part of skin. The closer to the bones you are the worse it will hurt. After you get it make sure you take care of it. Remember no scrating!
Oh yeah if you get one, don't get something you have seen on someone else. Get something to yourself. Not because someone else has one. You also need to get educated about them thats why I did this article.

Tattoos should be a symbol or a reflection of ones self. My mother wanted my brother and I to just, write or draw it somewhere that we can look at it each day, but I feel much better that its permenately on my body. It is a symbol of myself, the one thing that, in cases where I feel I lose my identity, I can regain my sense of self. People who get it just to get it are truly missing the meaning of the purpose they serve. Bravo on the blog. :)

i have a tattoo too and ive had mine for 4 years now. I didn't get it cause everyone else had one but because i wanted it. You cant think that just because you got one on ur 18th to be different that everyones doing it to and ur not different anymore. People want them because they want them. Most cant get them till theyre 18 anways ya know. tattoos have been around forever and will be around forever. So don't try to hard to be like the only one with a tattoo...because its not gonna happen lol...

Yes, if you want to get a tattoo or two--which also means vandalizing your own body permanently--only to be different, then you're an idiot. You sound too immature to handle having tattoos anyway.
Actually I love my tattoo, what i was saying is people need to think before they go through with it though. In June I decided what i wanted, and in October i got it. Everyone at my school is turning 18 thn going to get one not knowing what they want or anything.
i love my tattoo so much because i got it for my own reasons and thoughts. I'll get another one next friday and get one filled in as well next friday. I can't wait, it's also a good idea to be comfortable with your tattoo artists.

What do you mean listen to what I am saying? I am saying if you want a tattoo, think about it for awhile. You can't wake up one day and say hey I am going to get a tattoo today, you have to think about it and decide if its the right thing for you.

Love several of my tatts too, but advise against. I wanted and i got. But they disfigured me and I got too many, now I feel like a freak. In church, people stare and I don't feel comfortable in my own skin. My own, disfigured, unholy skin.
