If I were to ask you what the pursuit of happiness is would you be able to define if?
No, you would never be able to define the meaning of the happiness; because there so no such thing.
I know it sounds foolish but I am right in every way.
Happiness is defined as an emotion associated with feelings ranging from contentment and satisfaction to bliss and intense joy.
Who exactly knows what being happy is supposed to look like or feel like?
Before I say anymore I will give the answer: "happiness" the unadulterated verity, will only be achieved in the after life.
If some claim to be happy in this world we live in it is nothing but a dream of sort.
Happiness is an unachievable "emotion" (if that what you want to call it) in this world.
What we experience when get married or see our children take their first steps or win the lottery is called temporary satisfaction and nothing else.
People believe in happiness as 5 bed room house, 3 cars, 2.5 children, a picket fence because it is the way society sees it.
The reason we have been put here is to suffer. Believe it or not.
Happiness is PAIN we're just not looking at it the correct way.
First of all, Any body who actually has 2.5 children and says they are happy is nuts!
You are right happiness is fleeting at best and hard to attain but I guess that is why it says the 'pursuit of happiness' and not just happy.

At first I was about to say, what in the heck were you talking about. But as I started reading it more, now I know what you mean. You can't label happiness. You believe there is no such thing as it but there is. Like for instance the movie ,Pursuit of Happiness. He found his happiness by providing for his family. Maybe you have just not found your happiness yet. Well good blog.
