In the future, I would like to go into social work. I would prefer a career in child protective services, such as an adoption agent or a foster care case worker. I chose child protective services partially because it is something that I have always had an interest in. However, the main reason that I chose it is because I believe that every child should have equal opportunities. I do not believe that children in unstable family situations have the chances they deserve. By pursuing a career in social work, I hope to help some of these children by helping the families change their habits, or by setting them up in more stable families. Once they are in stable situations, I believe these children will have the opportunity to reach their full potential. And they definitely deserve it.
If you were one of those kids, wouldn't you want someone to help you? So why not help them?
In posting this, I hope to make some people consider this career, as I believe it deserves more attention. If you know of another career that needs more attention, feel free to comment about it. Or, if you're actually considering this career, I'd LOVE to hear from you.

All kids should have equal opportunities. I mean, it's not like they chose to be adopted.

I agree, all children should have the same opportunities, regardless of family situation.
