Climate What?

Since when did man dictate the climate? Is it our responsibility as thinking humans to correct nature? Yes, I agree that humans to an extent play a role in enviormental polution, but at the same time, when Mt. St. Hellen erupted it emmited enough fumes into the air to equal 20 years of all U.S. fumes combined. We cannot conrol that.

The earth goes through natural changes, everyone should understand that! While we may not understand what's goin on, it doesn't mean it's the appocalypse! If we really want to make a dent on global polution control, we, as privilaged "haves" of the world, should invest in modernizing South East Asia who are currently, and have been with little reform, polluting their air on a massive scale. There is a "Smoke Cloud" over South East Asia that if dispersed can have deleterious global effects. Instead of focusing all of our efforts on regulating local facroty emissions we should think of other areas of the world where the money to do so could be most effective.

We tend to get in our own little tree-hugging world where the Facory Man is the evil villan and we need Superman, Al Gore, to step in and speak the polution out of him, but what good is that really going to do? What progress is REALLY being made. How much more effective would it be to replace some 17th century wood burning stoves in South East Asia with a modern fuel efficient stove instead of giving someone a peace prize (which ironically stirred up a ton of controversy). The world is full of resources, take advantage, and be productive.
