As a new blogger on ProgressiveU, I have yet to establish my particular niche within this blogging community. I plan to divulge my personal college experiences as a convergence journalism student exploring various cultural opportunities and incorporate that into current events and pop culture. I want to be able to provide unique posts that are entertaining yet informative. Some of my favorite blogs that inspire me include:
- Racialicious
- TV Squad
- Global Voices Online
- Obama-08
- Beliefs, Blackness, & Bollywood
- TechCrunch
- ProBlogger
- Online Journalism Blog
- New America Media
- ColbertBalls.com
What are your favorite blogs and what features make them worth returning to?
Hopefully my posts will have a few of the qualities that the above blogs possess. Some are individual bloggers writing about their personal interests, while others are professional contributors that blog for a living. It's a diverse community out there and I'm definitely excited to be a part of it!
I look forward to seeing what other bloggers are covering and hope to meet the challenge of establishing a strong readership. Wish me luck!

Sounds like you'll be a great blogger. Good luck!
This is the only blog I am active on or read because it takes up so much of my time. People on here blog on a myriad of subjects from personal experiences to foreign politcs. We at PU dont really care what you blog about as long as it fits in the PU suggested guidelines, lol. That keeps things interesting, but also endorses the sites credibility.
IF you ever have any questions about topics let me know, but as a journalist I am sure you have a handle on it : )
