It strikes me odd in a huge way that we are enable to care so much about situations such as the ones happening or that happened with Katrina, 9/11, N. Korea Bomb Testing, Darfur, Congo, Uganda, You name it, if it was huge in the news, a lot of us are or were for making sure that things went well in the ending.
Now, where's the odd part in that you ask? Easy, A lot of us are still having kids at young ages, still not taking care of our children in a respectful manner towards ourselves and them. A lot of us still treat relationships as if we are in a movie where things will just be for the time being and then end, and then onto the next person. Relationships shouldn't be shared, and neither should pain. Just because you're hurting in someway, does not give you any kind of right to make it so that others are hurting as well.
We don't seem to really care enough about taking care of ourselves and this world, so why try so hard when things are blown up in the NEWS?
Why does it take for someone to say something on the radio or televison or even some goofy little book, for us as people to come up with ideas of trying to inspire great things.
People are so content with the idea of Armegeddon, that they live stupidly or even live in a godly like way to make sure that they are doing what's right so that they won't go to what they feel is hell and will go to heaven and what not.
Believe it or not Ladies and Gentlemen, if you want heaven, then you can have it right here and now, and if you continue to not care, then you will continue to get just as you have always had, it may be good....and that can be your heaven to you, but it can also be bad, and well....truly, that's hell.
Some of us live these lavishly type lives, not REALLY caring about others or even ourselves really, and some of us live very lazy, I aint gonna never accomplish anything in my life, type of lives. Some of us even try to make it seem like we actually care, and try to do what's right, but the thing is, is that we can act or we can really do it.
I'm going with King on this one, because things don't seem to really have gotten BETTER. I have a dream, and that dream is that we will all TRY harder to succeed in that of which helps to bring on a healing of the people in our world. Or, we will just all have nightmares, and armegeddon won't have to come, we will just kill ourselves, because of the greedyness of so many of us.

Self-help books make me so bitter. Why can't people think for themselves? That's what I want to know.

Nothing helps America sleep better at night than being in the center of all the states' business. If we send a teddy bear, or some tooth paste, everything will be okay . . . but if we tell our kids not to have sex, or do drugs, or give the homeless food and shelter, that's just "pointless jibber jabber . . . they'll never change, it's just a waste of opportunity for the rest of the world . . . they chose to make their lives that way!"
It's a helpless arguement. :]
I really dont know how I feel about that. I'm feeling a little neutral. lol...there really wasnt anything that struck me to the core...no offence.
what struck me to the core is that it's something personal that you went through,something that hurt you a lot....gosh..do i sound like an empath:D
