For the Death Penalty:
Alright, so people see that there is a big problem with todays prisons.. they are over filling. The government is trying to find different solutions in order to correct this problem, and many people have been discussing the death penalty. If our prisons are filling up with these criminals why are we arguing so much about the death penalty.
Now i am not all for killing off our citizens, but why let a criminal live out his life in our prisons if they have no chance of getting out.. or if they have commited an awful crime that will force them to stay in prison?
There are many dangerous people who were capable of killing many people, yet they get to spend the rest of their lives or at least a good portion of it in the prisons today.
People dont seem to have a problem killing hundreds of animals and babies a day, but when it comes to killing a grown human who has taken away the life of another of another human life or possible lives, they seem shocked.
Against the Death Penalty:
there are also a lot of arguments for abolishing the death penalty. A huge argument is that is the the ultimate denial of all human rights. It is irreversable, so if new facts come up, or there is a change in heart it is too late. Is this a humane thing to do? Is taking away the life of an animal who has done nothing, better than taking away the life of an awful criminal. A lot of people just feel it isnt right to kill a human being no matter what the circumstances are.
I just thought id open up a discussion, so feel free to leave your comments and get something started!

Well, they still have a chance of getting out of prison—even if they are on life without parole. It happened to a man named Kirk Bloodsworth when DNA evidence exonerated him. Another example would be Geronimo Pratt. I'm against the death penalty because it is classist and racist and so I will never trust my government when they tell me that they are positive that this person committed this crime or that.

Well, it actually costs more to execute a prisoner than it does to keep them in prison. Plus not all the prisoners commited a crime that deserves death.

Well, I knew it somehow from somewhere which I am not exactly sure of, but I took the time to still find a site where you could find this information.

Then those undeserving of death will be forced to make restitution to their victims or the victims' families.
