It is basic common sense. Humans want justice in everything. It is demonstrated in children as soon as they can speak: "That's not fair! She has more ice cream than me!" The adult in the situation has to sort it out because if one of the children gets less than the other, the result will be negative and usually in the form of a tantrum. We are all the same. Imagine if you lost a loved person due to another person's carelessness or evil intent! How would you feel? Would you be okay with that person getting ten years to twenty years in prison and then being let go? It would be slightly more of a punishments if the inmates didn't have t.v., a place to work out, a library, and mcdonalds for crying out loud. Prison is nothing but paid living.
If an individual who commits murder is unable to be reformed or reintroduced into society, then they should be removed from society. There is no use leaving them alive because 1) they are a danger to society if they ever escape, 2) they are very unlikely to feel bad about what they did when they can waste their lives in front of a television, 3) who do you think is paying for their staying alive?
You are.
That's right. In the U. S. A., the highest ranked host of serial killers in the world, your taxes go right to the prison to help keep the killers of your sons, your daughters, your fathers, your mothers, your friends, and your lovers alive.
Is that justice?
You tell me.

i agree with u as well becasue wats the use of trying to change the person if he or she doesnt want to b changed and chooses to stay the same.
This is a pretty complicated subject. Personally, I disagree. I'd rather pay for somebody to live, than for somebody to die in my country's own "justice" system. (Granted, the taxes I'm paying are going towards a war but erm...I can't really help that right now...) Personally, I think that execution should be abolished. I see it as a barbaric and outdated "eye for an eye" system that really doesn't help "prevent" more crime. There will always be more criminals to replace the ones that are destroyed. Also there's a good possibility of a perfectly innocent person being executed, and in the past, people have, simply because someone gave the wrong information, etc.
Also, if someone like a serial killer is "insane" to the point where they "will never be rehabilitated" they should be put in a mental asylum, in solitary. It's not like you can help being insane.
