Many of you may disagree with this but I feel that part of Barack Obama's charm is the fact that he is not a black American. Some say it helps that he is half white alone. Some say it helps that he is half white and half foreign black. Sure he went to Harvard, he has a global experience to go right along with this global market, he has charisma and hasn't said anything to really anger any side yet, but if his father was named Darnell Washington nobody would be listening to him. You may say, 'why is he getting more attention than the other white candidates?' For the same reason as Hillary-something different. He's not a permed preacher from New York or a disgraced baby daddy like Jackson. He doesn't have the legacy of that dreaded Civil Rights Movement or even slavery in his background. The guy has no chance of getting in, but it's safe to say you like him so you sound like you're not a racist. The fact is he is not Darnell Washington's son, so he is an easier pill to swallow. Just my opinion.
