In the midst of this crazy primary season we have come to a it of a break. The hype for one campaign or another has dampened down as people are now thinking about the election after the primaries. People are starting to realize that the primary season and the general election are very different, and going for who can win is quite important. In the past the democratic party has forgotten this. Often, they go for the idealist of their party who rarely play well with the rest of the country. For this election season we cannot repeat this mistake. John McCain has the nomination of his party and therefore will have a point bump over any democrat during the start of the general as his camp will seem more unified. Now if you are a fan of his that is fine, but if you are not this must be remembered come convention. While I do believe it is important to vote your conscious I also believe that voting requires more than just that, but civic responsibility. The responsibility to choose someone who you know can win and bring about the changes needed for the country. I don't mean to preach but this has been weighing on my mind as I decide myself who that would be.
