I decided to post this article in the spirit of the upcoming Blogging for Progress competition, in which an influx of students eager to come up with money for college join the site. As one of those students, I can relate and have taken some proactive and successful steps towards funding my education.

Each week I intend to present a new idea for making extra cash. Most of these ideas I have used myself and have found to be helpful.

Have some spare time? Fill out a survey.

Online surveys websites are great! Although they will not produce as much cash as a formal job, they require little effort and require little commitment. Once you join such a website, you fill out a profile, indicating your age, financial situation, technology, automotive, and food interests among other topics. After such, you will receive emails when you qualify for a survey and information on what incentives there are to complete the survey. Depending on the site and the time commitment is the financial reward. I have been offered $0.25 for some surveys and $30 for others. It is all about finding the right site! Another helpful part of belonging to such sites is that you can make additional cash when your friends join the site and begin to complete surveys. My favorite site offers $2 for each referral who joins and completes a survey (so PLEASE message me if you are interested and I will make sure to hook you up with a great site!). Another great aspect is that the more time you put into the website, the better your return. As an extremely busy college student, I enjoy filling out surveys because it is something I can do on the go.
