Feb 12th 2008, Today a family showed up for a loved ones funeral only to be told that their low cost family
funeral's price had gone up and tripled.

Obviously if a funeral home takes you money you do not have a lower cost funeral or
reduced funeral expenses.
When doing a funeral contract at an arrangement conference one needs to be very careful.The funeral contract can save you money or cost you money, An arrangement conference is where you meet with a funeral director and work out the details of your funeral and a funeral contract.
The funeral director is a salesman although he may not appear to be.
He or she is a contract pro.This is true of any contract whether it is for a car, house, etc., You are dealing
with someone who does this every day
You usually do not do funeral contracts often
Please be very careful at the arrangement conference.
It is usually best to go to an arrangement conference with
someone who will be your advocate during the contract phase.
This facilitates a low cost funeral. When doing a contract please be careful as there will be no surprise cost as in the Abraham Lincoln Case.
In the case mentioned above, the cost added to the family was almost $2500.00
only because the Funeral Provider called Abraham Lincoln's birthday a holiday.
Be ware of excessive funeral home costs or clauses in
a contract that can add cost later.
Watch out also for the funeral home cemetery unit combo as well.
You would think it would save you money. They usually do not.
I am very sure Abraham Lincoln turned over in his grave today.
I am sure he did not like the fact that someone used his birthday
to take advantage of others

I just wanted to give you a small suggestion... some of your posts are really hard to read because of the way in which you structure them.
