I recently found at that they are using Breathalyzers at Aberdeen High School's formal dances. Isn't that violating our rights as U.S. Citizen, or did they change that too? And if you refuse you get fined $90?
Do we not have any freedom? I can guarantee you that over half of teens today don't know their rights and I don't blame them. When I went to ask a teacher what they were, my answer was to Google it and find out for myself. After all, the Internet does have all the answers.
Dances are the one thing our school puts on where students can go to let loose and be themselves, and now the staff is ruining that too. As if having cameras and recording us every minute of the day isn't enough, but Breathalyzers? Lights on?
If I remember correctly, there were five adults on the balcony watching us from above, two outside, three sitting down. Give us a break. Let us dance and be ourselves.
We don't really care how disgusting you think it is. This is 2007, not 1950. The last thing you could do to us is take away our joy of dances!
I love dances and I would hate to see all of them end up like this.

I'm not sure it really is against your rights. If you are driving, and refuse to submit to a breathalyzer, you can be arrested. When your on school property, or at a school event even if it isn't at the school, you have to follow their rules. Only 5 adults? Any school dances I've been to have had more than that. They are there to prevent liabilities.
Like what you've read? Well, then here's more:

But no one really wants kids getting it on in the corner either. I have actually seen it happen and it's not pretty. High school drama is bad enough without sexual issues and drunker dancers thrown in. Kids can have their fun... as long as they don't break the law doing it.
