Why me? Why am I still alive? Not that I want to be dead. But it baffles me how every day you hear about people getting killed in horrible car accidents and other such tragedies. What about the one who happened to be at the wrong place at the wrong time. Is it just that? Being unlucky? That seems too simple. How is one life spared over another? There are such tragic events that could happen to ANYONE, yet it happens to that ONE person. Everyday there is another person killed. I know I’m not the only one, so who says that one life is to be spared over the others? Is that person MEANT to leave at that time in that way? Are we all going to die at God’s opportune moment? Is it all up to Him or do we have control, until our age catches up with up? I guess this is up to personal interpretation on beliefs. Is it more random then planned. Am I supposed to die at a certain time, place and way? Is life set at a random draw of the card? For example, in the game Clue, it all depends who gets drawn to be the victim. Does it go the same way for life? Is there a reason to why one CHILD or PERSON lives over another?
In the columbine tragedy, why did THAT school have the shooters? Again it could have been ANY school, was it meant to be that way? Is death put upon us to change our lives? There is death EVERYDAY, yet it only touches some of us. Death makes us think about life, and all that we have accomplished, and allows us to change the negative parts in our life. Like the things we take for granted, or brings about realization to what we are meant to achieve. Death brings sadness and renewal. Death is such a mysterious thing, as is life. Life is the thing we can experience and KNOW best. After a person passes, they can’t come back to tell us what happens after life which frightens me. I don’t know how it is decided that one life is spared over another, how can two different lives be compared? I’m just speculating here, trying to get a feel on how I grasp this strange concept.
I am eternally grateful to my life and appreciate every moment of it. I’m blessed that it hasn’t been taken early from me. My heart goes out to all of those who have lost someone dear to them, before their time had come. Life is such an amazing thing that should never be taken for granted. I’m looking forward to the new challenges that come to face me, and to see how I handle them.

I believe that it is a combination of luck and fate. While I don't believe God has a complete and total plan, there are some things that are just meant to be. Others, we made the right decision. In some cases, our lives depended on someone else, in which case, they made the right decision.

Yes we do seem to put our lives in the hands of others. Its around us everyday, even as we drive down the street. It just seems to be our own actions and the hands of God working with us.
I think it's all luck, and one big intertwined chain of events. One event prompts one thought, which prompts other events. Just like The Butterfly Effect, one small change could make a huge difference. What if one of the people that teased the Columbine shooters would have wrote a fake love note from another student instead? Who knows, that may have been enough to keep at least one of them out of trouble long enough for everyone to get caught. What if one of the shooters' parents decided to look for an old photo in the garage as a result of a high school friend calling? Maybe this friend would have called because he or she met someone with the same name as the parent. Small events change history.

Yeah that's what a part of me believes. Likei was meant to drive in the ice stormk, in order to show the way for others trapped. I don't weird things like that think that, that make me think about that, luck and stuff. Like if I hadn't had happened the way it did, something bad would have happened. So yeah, thanks for the comment, I loved reading what you had to say.
No prob! I love leaving comments. Thank you for the good read!
